Hi, Fanatics!
My name is Adriana Garcia and I am the proud Mexican American & Native American owner of Frybread Fanatics LLC. I am also a Fuerza Local/Local First 2021 graduate! I started this business with a strong desire and vision to bring the fusion of my culture to your palate! The vision of the business is to introduce to you what our two amazing cultures stand for. We use our food and mobile cart design to capture your interest in our ancestry and deep roots.
Our cultures come from not only a beautiful history of food, art, and dance but also struggle, sacrifice, and resilience. When designing our cart, I had this history in mind. The patterns represent both the beautiful artwork of the Native American rug and the Mexican serape blanket, two items well known to our roots. The hummingbird represents my late father and symbolizes his spirit of protection in every endeavor of my life. The Zia Sun Symbol represents my sister-in-law who originally started the business with me and her native roots in New Mexico. She brought forth many Native American inspirations and attributes that made our business what it is today. I hope to continuously honor her involvement in the business’ success. Our biblical scripture placed on the front of the cart not only has my father's name in it but is also a reminder that all things are possible and that I can do anything with the strength of Christ within me.
I have undergone some tough battles in my life like being a single mom with a severe disease since my early teens and having a secondary health issue with my spine that has caused me a lot of suffering. The only reason I share this with you is to be an inspiration to anyone dealing with challenges in their life. You can have the desires of your heart even when things appear grim. I defied the odds of being told what I couldn’t do and accomplish and honestly, it's driven me even more to be a contribution to my community and my family.
My business is dedicated to my father, Phillip, my strong mother, and my beautiful children.
